2009 WALNUT VALLEY FIDDLE CHAMPIONS |
 RAC is proud to announce Eric Dysart, RAC's fiddle player & lead singer, took third place in the prestigious 2009 Walnut Valley Fiddle Championship in Winfield, KS. Eric is a 17 year old high school junior from Disney, OK. This was the 2nd third place finish for Eric at Walnut Valley. First place this year, went to Bryan McDowell from Canton, NC. It was arranged by Rick Morton and Sterling Abernathy of the Circus. Ronnie lost his battle with cancer in the spring of 2008, but his music will live on and be part of us forever. Take Me will be included on our latest CD coming out late summer 2009. Kelly Kerr recorded this video at Tulsa Strings, (our rehearsal studio) in Tulsa, OK. OK INTERNATIONAL BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL 2009 |
 RAC has been invited back to OIBF in 2009; held the 1st weekend of October. Our 1st performance will be Oct 1st at 4:00 p.m. on the Landrun (main) Stage. On Friday, Oct 2nd, Sterling Abernathy, mandolin player for RAC will teach in the mandolin workshop at 10:00 a.m. and RAC will take the Children's Tent Stage at 1:00 p.m. OIBF's headliners for 2009 will be Mark O'Connor & Appalachian Waltz Trio and The Gibson Brothers.  Rockin' Acoustic Circus will attend IBMA in Nashville, TN, Sept 28th - 30th. We are pleased to have been extended the invitation to perform in the "After-Hours Showcase" events held as part of the annual International Bluegrass Music Association Awards and National Convention. NEW YORK - Mark O'Connor Update |

 Members of RAC were in New York for Mark O'Connor Strings Conference, July 27-31st. With instruction from amazing artists like Mark O'Connor, Darol Anger, Matt Glaser, Bruce Molsky, Daniel Carwile, & Mike Block, among others, it was an incredible experience. This exciting week culminated with our performing Darol Anger's, "Ride the Wild Turkey" with him in the closing concert...what an honor! Check out the video: "Ride The Wild Turkey."

 Join RAC for Claremore's Bluegrass & Chili Festival on Sept 11 & 12th. Along with performances by RAC, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Rhonda Vincent, Doyle Lawson & Quick Silver, Mountain Heart and Tony Rice will also be in concert.
